Sunshine & David | A couple who love to travel and share a birthday
The couple’s getting-ready sessions take place at two different hotels in Unterwasser. We tag along with both the groomsmen and the bridesmaids, and everyone has a great time during the group photos.
First, take the funicular from Unterwasser to Iltios, then the cable car up to Chäserrugg.
The weather is very unpredictable, and right up until the last minute, none of us are sure whether the wedding ceremony can take place outside on the rose-covered lawn. But the couple wants to take the chance—they’re not afraid of a few raindrops—and even though it’s foggy and the view is obscured, it’s simply beautiful.
The wedding speech is given by a close friend; it's very personal and emotional. The umbrella does end up being necessary at some point, but that doesn't dampen the mood.
In the end, though, the aperitif takes place inside the Chäserrugg Inn because the fog is getting thicker and thicker and it’s also getting very windy. But then, all of a sudden, the fog lifts and the sun shines through!
This is our chance for the couple's photo shoot. We'll keep it short and relaxed—30 minutes will easily be enough, since we don't have to go far to find a beautiful backdrop.
Then the meal begins, along with the celebrations, the fantastic food, the wonderful atmosphere, emotional speeches, and funny AI videos, followed by the tossing of the bouquet, a champagne tower, and the party—including a surprise flash mob by the guests that moves the bride to tears.
The weather is just like that: first it starts to hail and rain, then there's a rainbow, followed by a beautiful sunset. We even take a few quick photos outside in the storm.
We're staying longer than planned because the atmosphere is just great, and we're taking the train down to Unterwasser at 1 a.m.
